Outdoor Jazz With Wakefield High, Friday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m.
The FCA is excited to host the Wakefield High School jazz combo. This concert will take place on the Fairlington Community Center field, 3308 S. Stafford St. Come listen to jazz favorites from the Bebop era (1940’s, 50’s, and 60’s), including Billie’s Bounce, Now’s the Time, Blue Bossa, Song for my Father, and Chameleon. High school students have not had many opportunities to perform and they are excited to share their love of music with Fairlington. Please bring something to sit on (blanket or chair), bug spray, and your toe taps. The county requests that people follow current CDC guidelines regarding masking and social distancing. If you are not vaccinated, you are highly encouraged to wear a mask. In the event of inclement weather, please check the FCA website or Facebook page for any last minute updates.
