City of Alexandria to Share Proposed Design Plans for King Street-Bradlee Safety and Mobility Enhancements Project
The City of Alexandria’s Department of Transportation and Environmental Services will present the preferred design alternative and interim safety improvements for the King Street-Bradlee Safety and Mobility Enhancements Project at a Virtual Meeting on Thursday, May 16th at 6:00 p.m. The community is invited to ask questions and provide feedback at the meeting.
To attend this meeting virtually, participants must register in advance. Registered participants will receive an email with instructions to join. Following the meeting, a video recording will be available on the King Street-Bradlee Safety and Mobility Enhancements website.
The purpose of the King Street-Bradlee Safety and Mobility Enhancements Project is to improve safety and mobility for transit, pedestrians and cyclists along King Street from N. Quaker Lane to Menokin Drive, in accordance with the City’s adopted Alexandria Mobility Plan.
Design options were developed based on community feedback collected in Fall 2023, as well as data analysis and an evaluation of existing conditions on the corridor. After the community meeting, the identified alternative will be considered by the Traffic and Parking Board during a public hearing later this summer.
