The smoke detectors in our maintenance spaces and pool pump room make an impressive amount of noise and are very effective in calling attention to a problem.  Fortunately, the problem this morning was nothing more exciting than a malfunctioning smoke detector.  The Alexandria Fire Department (covering non-emergency calls for our own Fire Station) helped us out by replacing our malfunctioning detectors with temporary ones until we can install the correct units next week.  With tranquility restored, we hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
