We are happy to announce that Vicky Moore will be the site manager for Fairlington Glen. She is an Association employee who will be working part time in the maintenance office. She is a retired naval officer who was among the first women to serve at sea. She has a background in leadership, business and maintenance. In her naval career she managed the maintenance of a 22,000 ton navy ship, supervising nearly 200 sailors in the performance of all types of maintenance. Vicky also managed a $100 million inventory of spare parts and consumables delivered to fleet units at sea. She wrapped up her naval career serving as the Deputy Director of the Navy’s Fraud, Waste and Abuse Hotline, overseeing hundreds of investigations. After retirement from the Navy she worked as the Audit and Management Control Officer for a USDA agency, and later as a Project Manager for a defense contractor.
Vicky is a Shirlington resident who serves on the Board of Directors for her condominium association, which is very similar to Fairlington Glen. She has been active in working with her Association’s management company to improve how maintenance is performed, overseeing site inspections and maintenance planning. Serving on a Board has given her a passion for making her community a wonderful place to live—she brings this passion to her new position as Fairlington Glen’s onsite manager.
We look forward to having Vicky here to help improve communication between residents, the Board and management regarding project status and work requests. Vicky is available to meet by appointment and can best be reached at FGLsitemanager@gmail.com.
